Ohio WC Terms: Ohio Industrial Commission
Industrial Commission
Industrial Commission refers to both the agency responsible for decision making in the workers' compensation system and the three-member board which runs the agency.
The agency referred to as the Industrial Commission consists of three levels: district hearing officers (DHOs), staff hearing officers (SHOs), and the board known as the Industrial Commission.
The three-member board known as the Industrial Commission sets policy for the agency and also acts as the final level of appeals within the agency.
