Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC)

The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) handles the administrative and ministerial functions of the workers' compensation system. The BWC has limited decision making powers, primarily related to the initial allowance of a claim. The Ohio Industrial Commission has responsibility for most of the decision-making in the workers' compensation system.
