Qualified Health Plan

If a self-insured employer chooses to set up its own managed care program, that is called a "qualified health plan" (Q.H.P. or QHP). The self-insurer can also chose to join the Bureau's Health Partnership Program. Or, the Self-Insurer can choose to do nothing, and the old rules apply.
