Industrial
Commission
The term Industrial Commission (I.C. or IC)
refers both to the agency which handles the decision making
in the workers' compensation system and the three-member
board which runs the agency.
The agency referred to as the Industrial Commission
consists of three levels of hearings: district hearing officers, staff
hearing officers, and the board known as the Industrial Commission (see
the Hearing Track).
The three-member board known as the Industrial
Commission sets policy for the agency and also acts as the final level
of appeals within the agency.
