of Workers' Compensation
The Bureau of Workers' Compensation (B.W.C. or
BWC) handles the administrative and ministerial functions of the
workers' compensation system. The Bureau has limited decision making
powers, primarily related to the initial allowance of a claim. The
majority of the decision-making functions in the workers' compensation
system are handled by the Industrial
Commission.
