Ohio WC Terms: Full Weekly Wage (FWW)

Full Weekly Wage (FWW)

The first twelve weeks of temporary total compensation payments are based on the full weekly wage (FWW). Compensation payments other than the first twelve weeks of temporary total are based on the average weekly wage.

As a general matter, the full weekly wage is the higher of:

  • gross wages (including overtime) earned over the past six weeks, divided by six; or
  • gross wages (excluding overtime) for the seven days before the date of injury.

In certain circumstances, the full weekly wage may be calculated differently.
